Manager of the Center for Women & Children

Bay Area Rescue Mission has an opening for the Center for Women & Children Manager. The right candidate will be a grounded and mature Christian with a heart and call to minister to those struggling with brokenness, abuse, and addiction – to share the love, hope and redemption of Jesus Christ. The CWC Manager is responsible for the staff, programming, and administration of the residential Life Transformation Program, the Emergency Shelter, and associated youth ministry programming. The right candidate will be a spiritually healthy and mature individual who is an effective and creative problem solver, and people developer, able to collaborate to enhance curriculum, programs, and services. Requires great organizational skills and the ability to project, calculate and report on related responsibilities and outcomes. Seeking a professional who understands, interacts, and consistently demonstrates compassion and respect, within healthy boundaries. Must be knowledgeable of effective biblically-based programming, recovery, leadership, program and staff development, and administration of programs and services. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite software required. The position is regular, full-time, exempt.

Event & Volunteer Specialist

Bay Area Rescue Mission is seeking a dynamic, driven individual who wants to join our team as our Event & Volunteer Specialist.  The Event & Volunteer Specialist is responsible to plan and execute our key fundraising events and to engage with area businesses and individuals to recruit and mobilize volunteers in support of the Bay Area Rescue Mission.  The right candidate will be highly organized, relational, and professional.  The work schedule is flexible and does require working some weekends/evenings.  The position is exempt full-time.  The Event & Volunteer Specialist must have a have a heart for ministry, compassion for those we serve, and the ability to engage volunteers to be actively involved in “Loving Without Limits” in support of our purpose. Must be a mature Christian, highly driven and productive, a team player, have a teachable spirit, be computer literate, able to meet deadlines and effectively multi-task and project manage.

Warehouse Associate/Driver

The Bay Area Rescue Mission has an immediate opening for a PT Warehouse Associate/Driver, up to 29 hours per week. The right candidate will have a valid California driver’s license and a driving record acceptable to our insurance carrier. Seeking an individual with a strong work ethic, physically capable of lifting and moving throughout a warehouse environment. Must be knowledgeable of the streets and freeways of the greater East Bay Area. Must be courteous, conscientious, have a high safety orientation and be honest, with good interpersonal communication skills and the ability to safely lift and load items onto truck.

Resident Assistant (RA)

Bay Area Rescue Mission has an open position for a Resident Assistant (RA) within the Center for Women and Children (CWC). This position is part-time, approximately 24 hours per week with the current shifts being: Friday, Saturday and Sunday from approximately 2p – 10p. May increase hours per week to cover for other staff as needed, up to approximately 32 hours per week. The Resident Assistant ensures the safety and well-being of our women and children guests and residents and is one of relational ministry, interacting with our shelter guests and program residents to offer biblical encouragement, hope, support and accountability. The right candidate will have a heart for ministry with those who currently struggle with brokenness, and the ability to compassionately but firmly come alongside, offering hope and life transformation through Jesus Christ. Must be a grounded Christian, team player, have a teachable spirit, have good organizational skills, be computer literate, good interpersonal skills, and be able to model healthy boundaries.
