Our President/CEO
Hello… and welcome to the Bay Area Rescue Mission. Whether you’re here today looking for a new way forward in life, or because you want to make a difference for hurting people in our community, I’m glad you’ve found us!
The most important thing you should know about our ministry is that we care deeply about our community. Our work is centered on the love and grace we have in God – and our mission is to share that hope across the Bay Area with all those who desperately need it.
There are so many who do need it, and for them, our door is open 365 days a year. We offer nourishing meals to meet people’s first and most basic need: hunger. Once their hunger has been filled, we offer them even more nourishment… for their hearts, minds and spirits. Every day we provide:
- Daily essentials like shelter, showers and clean clothing
- Healing through our 12-month discipleship programs
- Job-skills training in a variety of areas, including the culinary arts, warehousing, construction and security
- Practical life-skills classes to ensure a stable, independent future
- Emotional restoration through counseling and care
- Spiritual renewal through prayer and the Gospel message of eternal hope
I feel blessed that God led me here to a ministry with a strong foundation of service, a compassionate team and long-standing partnerships with community leaders.
