Body:

Gifts of Love: Bay Area Rescue Mission 53rd Annual Community Christmas Toy Giveaway started by Josephine ‘Jo’ Lee, a volunteer at the mission, who later became, the wife of former President of the mission, Malcolm Lee. She wanted to share the Christmas story with neighborhood kids and develop and maintain a strong bond with the community. This event gives the Bay Area Rescue Mission a sense of belonging and is a way to express the importance of children to all of us.

Body Paragraph:

The Bay Area Rescue Mission is a 501©(3) non-profit organization intentionally located in the heart of Richmond, California where it serves impoverished men, women, and children 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. When we provide Christmas presents for children to struggling individuals and families, we are allowing them to use the income they have on other life essentials.

We are a privately funded provider of integrated services to people in need and have a vital role in the city as a valuable resource to both homeless and people that are struggling to make ends meet. We are unrelenting in our commitment and dedication to the people of this community.
