Take a Tour

Get to know the Bay Area Rescue Mission and see how, with your help, we’re breaking the cycle of homelessness. Taking a tour of the Rescue Mission will give a better understanding of who we serve, how we provide services and how we accommodate people at our facilities.

What can you expect?

  •       Expect to interact with our shelter guests, those that are in our programs, regular volunteers and staff
  •       We will tour our 4 buildings at the corner of 2nd and Macdonald.
  •       We do have stairs at our location. We can modify our tour if attendees have special needs.
  •       We can add a tour of our Administrative offices and Education Centers at 2114 Macdonald Ave.  (at the corner of 21st and Macdonald.)

How long is the tour?

The tour is generally 30 to 45 minutes long.  Depending on the group size, tours can be one-hour long.

Are there pre-scheduled times or should I call to arrange?

We schedule tours on Monday-Friday between 9 am and 4 pm and limited Saturday tours are available by special arrangement.

Are there group tours?

Yes, we like to have our group tours limited to 10 people. To accommodate larger groups, we will have multiple tour leaders take 10 people at a time through our facilities.

Who should they contact?
