The Mission also works to prevent homelessness by giving children and teenagers from inner-city schools the academic, emotional, and spiritual resources to succeed.  Our youth program works with roughly 50 students every day. Last year the Mission provided 1,000 Easter baskets, 1,800 back-to-school packs, and more than 4,000 Christmas presents to destitute children of the Bay Area
