Homeless and Desperate… Jessica had nowhere to turn
Jessica recalls the moment she and her family stepped inside the Bay Area Rescue Mission.
“As soon as I walked in, I was so happy and my tears came down,” she remembers. “We only had the clothes we were wearing. No diapers. Nothing. Everybody came, jumped in, gave us clothes and helped us.”
That help was just what she needed.
After 12 years of living in the Bay Area and 5 years of renting rooms and living with family, Jessica and her children – ages 8, 6 and 1, with another on the way – had nowhere left to turn.
