Program Coordinator Position, CWC - FT Day, Exempt, $66,560

The Program Coordinator position specializes in Biblical/recovery counseling and program coordination for residents that are seeking recovery from substance/chemical dependence, domestic violence and/or other life-controlling problems. It is the responsibility of the Program Coordinator to assist with residents’ needs, develop an individual recovery plan (IRP) that encompasses counseling, case management and collaboration with other appropriate services to facilitate growth towards healthy and addiction-free independence. Counseling is Biblically based and addresses life skills, physical health, substance abuse/recovery, housing, employment, legal and mental/emotional needs and services. The Program Coordinator will assist in maintaining a peaceful, hospitable, safe, transforming and supportive environment, which reflects the vision of the Bay Area Rescue Mission (BARM). The position will focus on residents’ growth and success, quality of counseling notes and how the notes generate action to empower the residents to change their world.

Parent & Child Advocate - FT Day, Non-Exempt, $20 per hour

The Parent and Child Advocate position will report to the Program Manager and work with the staff at the Center for Women and Children to develop, empower, encourage, and strengthen and support mothers and children in developing spiritually sound and healthy families. The position will focus on assisting the needs of all guests and residents providing an environment where individuals can find hope in Christ and direction for their life by empowering them to change their world. The Parent and Child Advocate position will guide, educate and model programs for parents that are designed to promote social, physical, intellectual and spiritual for families. The person in this position must be available to work on evenings, weekends, and Holidays. Advance notice will be given.

Warehouse Associate/Driver - Non-Exempt, Full Time, $17.20 per hour

Assist the Manager of Warehouse & Distribution in the smooth and efficient operation of the BARM warehouse. Responsible to oversee the safe and accurate receipt, storage, and timely dispatch of donated goods. Ensure workplace health and safety requirements are met and that the handling of goods are compliant with BARM standards and protocols. Under the supervision and direction of the Assistant Manager of Warehouse & Distribution, safely and courteously pick up and/or coordinate the pick-up of donations from designated donors and deliver to Bay Area Rescue Mission. Possess the ability to operate Warehouse machinery including forklifts, baler and moving equipment. This employee must be able to generate, log, and file receipts and paperwork that pertain to donation activity.

Resident Assistant, Center for Women & Children - Evening Shift, Part Time, $17.20 per hour

Bay Area Rescue Mission has an open position for Evening Resident Assistants (RA) within our Center for Women and Children. Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) preferred. This is a part-time position: 3pm-11pm, weekends plus 2 other weekdays. The RA position ensures the safety and well-being of our guests and residents and is one of relational ministry, interacting with our shelter guests and program residents to offer biblical encouragement, hope, support and accountability. The right candidate will have a heart for ministry with those who currently struggle with brokenness, and the ability to compassionately but firmly come alongside, offering hope and life transformation through Jesus Christ. Must be a solid believer, team player, have a teachable spirit, have good organizational skills, be computer literate and good written and interpersonal communication skills. This is a part-time position, up to 29 hours per week.
